IT Security Incident at ELABS AG

Frankfurt am Main, February 3, 2026 –

On January 15, 2026, ELABS AG became the target of a cyberattack that resulted in a temporary disruption of parts of our IT systems. The objective of the attack was to extort ransom by encrypting data. In this context, unauthorized access to parts of the affected systems also occurred.

Immediately after becoming aware of the incident, we initiated comprehensive containment measures. Together with our internal IT team and external specialists in IT security and digital forensics, the affected systems were isolated, analyzed, and fully restored. All data was successfully reconstructed. In the meantime, the IT infrastructure has been brought back into operation on newly deployed systems.

As part of the recovery process, the entire infrastructure continues to be reviewed by an external team of IT security experts and forensic specialists for any indications of remaining compromise and has been further hardened from a security perspective. The restoration is also being carried out under the continuous monitoring of an external Security Operations Center (SOC), which provides 24/7 monitoring of our systems.

The relevant authorities and affected third parties have been informed in accordance with legal requirements. At present, there are no indications of any impacts beyond the affected systems. Should new findings emerge that could have implications for third parties, we will inform them without delay.

We appreciate your understanding and support during this situation.
